American indie rock artist Soccer Mommy brought her tour to Manchester's New Century Hall and we were lucky enough to be in attendance for the event.
The night began with support from Bored at my Grandma's House.
Blending grungy sounds with vulnerable songwriting, the set began with "Abigail", the fans singing along to every word. Soccer Mommy, aka Sophia's stage presence is fantastic, commanding the attention of every audience member with ease. This was followed by "circle the drain" and "Driver".
Soccer Mommy had some brilliant touring musicians aiding her in the live shows, helping her to bring the songs to life and perform them to the fullest. "Thinking of You" and "Some Sunny Day" came next, followed by "Still Clean" which Sophia performed as a solo on the stage.
Soccer Mommy is an artist destined to go far, with a clear dedicated group of fans, and raw talent that will allow her to grow and grow in the industry. She ended the set with hits "Evergreen" and "Don't Ask Me", ending the night on a great high. We can't wait to see what will come next from the young artist, but we know its going to be brilliant.
